Vintage Design
The term kilim originates from Middle Eastern gelim which means to stretch. Similar words are used in other languages as in Turkish kilim. The feature that makes them uniform is the flat weft made on a frame, crossing, with different techniques, the weft thread with that of warp. It comes from Central Anatolia and has the classic decoration with toothed polygons. Its main feature is in the colors so bright and unusual in the combinations. There are import dyes that probably the knots bought directly in bazaars to make their carpet more and more special.
