A beautiful antique Shirvan carpet, hand woven in the Caucasus mountains of south-east Azerbaidjan circa 1920 with a geometrical design of stylised flowers and birds on a rich red field and ivory border. Fabulous wool quality and great secondary colours.

Size: 2.67m x 1.60m (8ft 9in x 5’ft 3in)

This rug is in good overall condition with very light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
