Unusual Art Nouveau Mahogany mirror console from the famous Vienna Secession period in Austria around 1905. This huge mirror console is an architectural masterpiece. A fantastic shaped substructure made of spruce wood has been veneered with fine mahogany. The artfully designed base consists of two distinctive “box” elements on the left and on the right, adorned by beautiful looking, inlayed brass pattern. A lower middle part with a compartment underneath graced by two small columns on each side – reminding us of a temple – builds the perfect place for having a seat to tie your shoes. The full length mirror with a height of 69″ has an impressive mahogany frame decorated with two narrow columns with lovely brass ends. It still holds the original mirror plate which shows some aging spots, confering this mirror an incomparable charm. On both sides of the top you can additionally find these mesmerizing inlayed geometric brass patterns, giving this extraordinary, eye-catching 20th century floor mirror a real special appearance. An absolute exclusive, rare piece of furniture from the world renowned Vienna Secession/ Art Nouveau period in Austria around 1905.
