Italy, 20th century ORIGIN Italy PERIOD 20th century AUTHOR The piece is not explicitly signed but the style and excellent workmanship allow us to refer it to the hand of Giuseppe CAPPÈ Born in Milan in 1921 , Giuseppe Cappè worked from the mid-1940s, in Milan and Lomagna , in the province of Lecco, making porcelain works inspired by Neapolitan Baroque and 18th-century Capodimonte production in his workshop ‘ Cappé Porcellane Artistiche ‘ and as a collaborator with Studio IPA and Studio King, with the title of chief sculptor. He died in Lomagna in 2008 . Source MATERIALS Hand-painted porcelain, coeval mirror DIMENSIONS H 49 x W 26 x D 8 cm CONDITION The piece is in excellent condition, as can be seen from the attached photos. The porcelain is intact except for tiny nicks in the flower petals. Evaluate through the photos.
