This pair of Roman vases of the Louis-XVI period is extremely rare. The virtuosity of the sculpture follows with all the elements the Louis XVI style. The gilding is never touched. The painted sheet metal flowerpots are decorated with ideal landscapes and some characters. Very good condition, exceptional work on the sculpture. Italy, Rome around 1780.
