Original Shagreen Gilt Metal Writing Table Desk with Single-Drawer

This is a very substantial desk. Shagreen for those of you who aren’t familiar is shark or ray skin. There are reproductions skins available however these are totally original, the way to tell apart from the feel is on the reproductions each skin is exactly the same, on the real hide each cut is slightly different

This desk came from a Chelsea mansion home, it was set up around 20 years ago by the then richest lady in England, she had the home made for visiting friends and family to stay in when on holiday in London. The home was used approximately five times during that period, as such its now been sold

It is in excellent condition, there will be the odd mark here and there from transport
