Late 19th Century Antique English Windsor Style Solid Oak Low Stool

The varied patina tells the story on this solid wood antique English stool in the Windsor style. The oak wood ridged edge seat, the four turned legs with a crossed bar make this a level, sturdy piece even for its age. It’s a versatile piece! It could be used to sit, to hold a drink or stack of books, or even a plant. The tag on the bottom of seat reads, ‘Carole Gibbons Antiques, Houston, Texas.’ Carole was well-known in the area for her sourcing of English and French Antiques. She helped supply the many interior designers and antique enthusiasts in the Houston area for decades.
