Idyllia Hand-Made Mahogany Door

Truly, Idyllia is a one-of-a-kind entry door. This handmade studio piece was built in 2024 by artist Christopher Grant Ward. It is built from sustainable African mahogany. The antique blue glass was designed by R.D.Gibbs and company, a 3rd-generation stained-glass glazier in Glendale, CA. Antigue blue glass panel is removable and able to be switched for clear.

The hardware is vintage 1910s Spanish Colonial Revival hardware, over 110 years old. It has been completely restored in perfect working condition with a new mortise lock assembly.

The door tells a story of the transition of time and seasons. The front exterior, shows dawn, sunlight, spring and summer, and new beginnings. The interior side, shows evening, moonlight, fall, winter. A pair of nesting quails at bottom. May our one life will forever be this Idyllia: pastoral, romantic, & content.

No toxic stains or dyes are used. Finished in organic tung oil. Dimensions are 80″ x 36″ x 1 3/4″
