Vintage Design
With smoking gun and steadfast stance, Clint Eastwood’s silhouette punctuates the striking sunset design of this sought after B2 poster for the 1972 Japanese re-release of Sergio’s Leone’s 1965 Spaghetti Western sequel For A Few Dollars More. Following Leone’s landmark 1964 low-budget Western A Fistful of Dollars, the so-called “Man with No Name” returned for the second film in the legendary director’s unofficial “Dollars Trilogy,” teaming up with a bounty hunter in order to capture a murderous outlaw and split the reward. Concluding with The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in 1965, Leone’s trilogy rejuvenated the Western genre, created the popular Spaghetti Western sub-genre, and set its mysterious anti-hero gunslinger Clint Eastwood on the road to legendary superstardom. Condition: Very Good (B+) Unfolded, not backed. Minor edge wear. Very faint diagonal pressure creases along edges which appear to have occurred during printing. The odd light crease through image.
