Country French Provincial Walnut Farmhouse Trestle Dining Table

Imposing country French provincial style farmhouse dining table featuring a grand walnut top measuring 3.5 inches thick. Very heavy and solid table from Normandy, France. The top is supported by a trestle base with baluster shaped legs ending with 7.5 inch wide shoe feet. The legs are conjoined by a long stretcher with exposed mortise and tenon joinery. The large table disassembles for transport and has an unusually flat top given its size and age without excessive warpage. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with an aged, faded patina mostly on the legs. Made on a large scale with massive proportions that give the table a distinctive farmhouse profile.
