“Sterling Silver Cup Gilbert FranÇois Bocquet Art Nouveau 1900 Noodle” This cut was made by Gilbert-François Bocquet. This artist has few results for sale, however we report significant results, up to over 1500 euros for a cut. We did not find a hallmark, yet it is solid silver, beautifully made. This cut is typical of the Art Nouveau period, very eventful, very Nouille style, close to metro entrances or historic interiors like La Cigale in Nantes. The Parisian metro entrances, created in 1900 by the architect Hector Guimard, contributed to the reputation of the rail network by adopting the codes of Art Nouveau, also called “Nouille style” by its detractors at the time. The whole is hammered on the top with beautiful recoveries on the base. We did not push the cleaning to the maximum. We report friction and micro-scratches from use for the most picky, it remains in excellent general condition for the time. It weighs a significant weight of 780 g. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. The photos are an integral part of the description.
