“Pair Of Miniature Jars In English Silver Decor Louis XVI Medallion Nineteenth” This pair of vases is richly ornamented. We can admire sphinxes on the bottom, Louis XVI-inspired medallions, floral decorations, there are cabochons on the top and two handles on each base. We report friction and patina wear on the whole. Note a significant deformation on the neck of one of the vases which lack the glass interior. On the other a small deformation on the other hand it has its interior. Here is what we were able to identify for the punches: – SBL: to be identified. – The Lion Sterling Silver Mark: This is British mark test proof that the item has been tested and is made of 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% additive, usually copper . – Coat of arms: to be identified. – The letter C: to be identified. – The letter F: to be identified. – Bigornes hallmark.
