“Box Gas George Adam Scheid B Silver Vermeil Virgin Agate 72 Grams” This box is typical 1900, Art Nouveau, it is very well made with a stone, probably an agate. Inside the lid and in the bottom of the box there are hallmarks: – GAS maker’s mark (George Adam Scheid Vienne 1882-1898). One of the great Viennese silversmiths of the 19th century. – hallmark B and another hallmark to be identified, certainly the neck brace hallmark but to be confirmed. It weighs the weight of 72 grams. For the state, note scratches, égrenures on the edge of the agate. We report that the inside of the box is oxidized.
