Terracotta clay I’m not sure what exactly was used, there is a sound guest when knocking. A knocked off corner without disturbing the head, once glued together. Someone artistically would have to disguise the gluing.
Georges Petit was a sculptor from Liège, where he was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts. He sculpts from 1901 to 1940. His sculpture is patriotic and strongly inspired by the First World War. Origin:
