These very fine vases are made from Cornish serpentine, in an urn shape, and polished to a marble-like sheen. Found in the Lizard peninsula of Cornwall, England, the famous red serpentine stone has long been used for an array of beautiful decorative wares, and this pair is no exception.
Both are formed in a simple yet elegant design, polished to an exceptionally fine finish, and in very good condition. Scattered with various speckles of grey-green in the case of the larger, and rich red areas in the smaller, they showcase the elegance of the Cornish stone, and make a fine addition to any interior.
